Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan asserted, the entire flood management program becomes a priority agenda that must be realized in the near future.

"All things related to flooding must be accelerated, ranging from water control, dredging, etc," he expressed, Monday (10/23). 

His party has instructed Jakarta Water Resources Dept. to map flood-prone areas and its problems. Dredging at some areas that are rarely highlighted by the public, should also be resolved.

"One of them is Cipete Utara. All this time we see there is a narrowing of the drains and overflow," he told.

Even his party will routinely monitor the progress of SKPD related activities in handling and anticipating floods.

"We'll improve the existing work schedule, thus all rivers can flow smoothly in which the potential for inundation can be reduced," he closed.
